Kathmandu District Court is located at Babar Mahal. The Court is situated in the capital of Federal Nepal. It is considered to be vital District Court of Nepal as it delivers services to the people of Nepal as and the global citizens. The court sits at the capital of the country that makes services accessible. The Judiciary authorizes the court to hear cyber-crime related law-suits. That allows the court to register petitions relating to cyber-crimes committed throughout Nepal. The court consists of 33 benches and 33 Judges that preside the bench. The departments such as Administration, record keeping, case implementation are highly efficient in delivering their services. Marriage registration, Court referred Mediation, power of attorney related legal hearing and deliberations takes place on everyday basis. The officials in the court are service oriented that prioritize in delivering services to the clients/ visiting the court. Each section of the court has video cameras installed that records everyday activities in the court. On everyday basis as per the demand of the clients pleas for the cases, representation, evidencecollection takes place through video conference.
